My love for skincare started when I struggled with acne. I was always looking for answers, trying to understand my skin and find ways to feel more confident.

I begged my mom to let me learn makeup so I could cover the pigmentation my acne had left behind. She finally said yes, but on one condition: I also had to learn waxing so I could make my own money. That’s how I ended up waxing my very first pair of eyebrows. Little did I know, that would be the beginning.

My love for skincare and beauty only grew from there. I eventually opened my own online skincare store, helping people find products that worked for their skin. I loved being able to share what I was learning and help others feel more confident in their own skin.

At 19 I moved from Venezuela to the US. I didn't speak the language, and honestly, I had no idea what my future would look like. I just knew I wanted to build something for myself. While working at the front desk of a waxing studio in Miami, I saved up to attend esthetician school, and that decision changed my life.

After almost three years in Miami, I married the love of my life, and we made Birmingham our home. That's where Alma came to life, bringing together everything I've learned, everything I've experienced, and everything I've always loved about skincare and beauty

For me, Alma is so much more than a skincare studio. It's a little piece of my journey, and I'm so grateful I get to share it with you!
